Business Development
Barry Marks is a Founding Partner of IntelliCom Analytics and leads the firm's business development program. In this role, Mr. Marks provides clients with detailed, continuously-updated views of the evolving communications technology needs of business end-users, the enterprise investment decision-making process and surrounding technology ecosystem.
Mr. Marks has over 35 years of leadership in the IT and Telecommunication industries and has held senior and executive advisory positions with both manufacturers and service providers. Prior to IntelliCom Analytics, Mr. Marks was EVP at InfoTech Consulting with responsibilities for business development and management of the Professional Services practice and Market Research programs. At Comdisco, he was VP of Consulting Services, and led custom consulting and program management engagements to Fortune 500 clients involving Business Continuity, Hosting, Data Center Migration, and Design and Implementation of Storage Area Networks.
At Gartner Group, Mr. Marks was Vice President and General Manager for Consulting Services, and actively directed and participated in provider and end-user engagements covering a broad spectrum of technology areas including voice/data communications, enterprise networking, computing platforms, web-based applications, and systems management. Mr. Marks has also held key business planning and marketing positions at IBM and AT&T involving alliances, business partnerships, competitive research, and market intelligence.
Mr. Marks earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering (New Jersey Institute of Technology) and Masters in Public Administration with majors in Computer Sciences and Operations Research from American University.
